Once Democrats get back into power, we need to create a cabinet position, Secretary of Information, so that we can actually reduce the amount of bullshit that is being constantly fed to dumb people who don’t know the difference.

I think the theme of the Democratic Party in the next set of elections should be, “Bring It!“ As in bring me your facts, bring me your data, bring me your supported information, fuck your feelings, fuck your lower-primate, grunting, grandstanding, and violence, let’s move forward with facts!

ALL debates get fact-checked in real time!

It should be a non-partisan fact-checking cabinet position. There has to be something we can do to prevent the spread of lie after lie after lie that gets the dumbest human on the planet elected to the highest office.

I mean I totally agree with you on everything else but "Secretary of Information" sounds like something straight out of 1984

You are a fascist. Look up what happened to your buddies in 1945 in Hiroshima to find out the appropriate punishment.

The fact that there are only 83 likes says a lot about what “I don’t care & I don’t read” society we have. Read the article with great pleasure. Thank you, Dean

100% true. Republican voters live in their own alternate reality bubble.

AI will begin to normalize information as we become more reliant on it.

Then shortly thereafter it'll control us and kill us...

Such an informative article and as someone who watches Dean’s debates, I couldn’t agree more with what I’ve learned from this piece of work.

I think the republicans’ main issue, the radical ones I should say, is a confirmation bias. No matter what information is given to them, they will deny information contrary to their beliefs, and praise information aligning with their beliefs. So all this online information by these AI bots are fanning the flame, getting them angrier, and solidifying the false beliefs of the radical right. I don’t think talking to these people will change their minds, I really don’t see anything changing their minds. The radical right has become completely brainwashed. I don’t live in America anymore because I see a bad future for it where the radical right will learn the hard way and the left will have the biggest I-told-you-so ever given in history.

There are no "radical" Republicans. Trump is a conservative Democrat. And there is certain no "left" in the US or anywhere on Earth.

You say that as a certainty but I think we just don’t agree what terms mean to call the parties or sides of American politics. In terms of global politics the American Republican Party itself is radical. Trump is, in my terms, a radical republican. From my knowledge, politics is a spectrum, but it is generally accepted that left wing describes liberal ideology and right wing describes conservative ideology. I think we agree that Trump does not have a liberal political ideology, and what I mean, or the general accepted meaning by radical, is anyone far leaning on either spectrum. So I don’t understand what you mean by no “radical” and no “left”. Is there no “slightly leaning” or “right” either?

When their distorted reality shatters they repent and start saying "I didn't know he was going to do this". In fact, they knew he was. But the veil once lifted didn't face their ideals (if we can call them that)

I have gotten off all social media except for Substack. No more Meta because of the security/surveillance risks and the annoying feed of crap never requested. Cant imagine being in X. Grateful people post important videos to TikTok which get reposted here since they show the ICE and PD dangers happening. Eventually Americans will have to limit consumption of SM.

It's not just Russian trolls & bots--Iran contains multitudes too. :( And what drives me even more nutzoid is the people who argue with them! Their scripts are all so similar, it shouldn't be hard to ID them by now. Just stop!!

I’m new to politics. I’ve seen so much misinformation. The tactics being used blow my mind. Perfect example; on national television saying, how dare you put our military down by saying they didn’t do their jobs while fighting to keep the US safe. This is perceived by the fan base as another reason to hate the opposing base. Then saying leaks won’t be tolerated and will be handled with the full extent of law. Again amping up the fan base against the opposition. While the fan base completely misses the point that lies aren’t leaked, truth is. It’s an emotional charged state, there are no winners, just victims.
