Remember back on September 2 when, seemingly out of the blue, the Pentagon bombed a boat out in the Caribbean Sea and claimed it was narcoterrorists?
It’s likely that even if you don’t remember it, you remember the follow-up. And the one after that. And the one after that. And the one after that. The truth is, there have been 21 boats decimated on the basis of them being “narcoterrorists,” so even if you DO think you remember the September bombing, you could just be thinking of twenty other possible scenarios in two months that Pete Hegseth has been at the helm of an alleged mass murder event.
Not that there was ever any justification for the attacks, but Hegseth and co. have been claiming for months now that this is a war on “narcoterrorism,” to SAVE America, AND Venezuela, from the scary narcoterrorists. It’s been suspected for quite some time that a few of these boats, at least, have been fishing boats, but that hasn’t -fully- been confirmed.
However, what HAS been confirmed is that the Pentagon knew there were survivors on the September boat… and a follow-up strike was still ordered. You know - good old fashioned war crimes, allegedly.
“The rationale for the second strike was that it was needed to sink the vessel, according to the people familiar with the matter who spoke on the condition of anonymity because they weren’t authorized to discuss it publicly,” writes the Associated Press. “The Trump administration says all 11 people aboard were killed. What remains unclear was who ordered the strikes and whether Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was involved, one of the people said. The details are becoming crucial as lawmakers have launched investigations and are seeking to determine whether the U.S. acted lawfully during its military operations.”
Sometime later today, a classified congressional briefing with Admiral Frank “Mitch” Bradley is going to take place to get to the bottom of this. Why? Because even though Pete Hegseth is catching the attention on this particular topic, the Trump administration is doing everything in its power to make sure that we all not only know Bradley’s name, but that he apparently was the one in charge of calling for the second strike that ended the survivors’ lives.
This could be a huge issue for Hegseth, though; the AP also points out that legal experts and lawmakers claim this is a violation of peacetime laws outright, and if held responsible, Hegseth COULD (and should) face severe consequences. And if not for this, then it’s likely he will face the music for something else… that’s right, baby, we’re talking about SIGNALGATE again!
This comes straight out exclusive reporting from CNN, who report that the Inspector General report on the Signal group chat fiasco is out - and it does not look good for Heggy.
“Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth risked compromising sensitive military information, which could have endangered American troops and mission objectives,” they write. “The repercussions of Hegseth’s action, two sources told CNN, are less clear since the IG concluded that the defense secretary has the authority to declassify information and Hegseth asserted he made an operational decision in the moment to share that information, though there is no documentation of such a decision.”
What happens next depends on whether Pete Hegseth, a man with no prior political expertise and had been working at the Secretary of Defense for like a MONTH had declassified that information. Remember: Jeffrey Goldberg from The Atlantic was added to this groupchat on ACCIDENT. The only reason it would be okay for Heggy to have sent this would be if the info… was not classified. And it very well may have been.
“Hegseth refused to sit for an interview with the inspector general and submitted his version of events in writing,” anonymous sources told CNN. LOL.
I guess we’ll see today what happens next, but one thing is for sure: Pete Hegseth has been an embarrassment for years and a dangerous disgrace to the Department of Defense since he was let in. He should be impeached. He should be removed. He should be INVESTIGATED. We’ll leave what happens next up to chance from there.

Seeing heggy, rump, and the rest of this monstrous and unqualified cabal investigated can’t happen soon enough for me!
